Alice Hole NAPA SGFA

Alice’s work is a personal response to her surroundings in Cornwall.

She is interested in the interaction between the people who have dwelt in the area throughout the centuries to the present day and the harsh but beautiful landscape. Within her work, she examines the way people have tried to harness the land and sea to survive by looking at the fishing, farming and mining industries and the towns, harbours and agricultural land that have grown up around them. She also finds hidden corners of the Cornish countryside which people may have missed and aims to portray the echoes of the past she sees within them.

Alice has won several awards in national exhibitions, including the NAPA President’s Award and the Pegasus Award at the Royal Marine Society of Artists and has been featured in Artists & Illustrators Magazine.

Alice is also a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art (SGFA)

She exhibits in Four Crows Gallery and The Square Restaurant, both in Porthleven, Cornwall as well as having exhibitions throughout the year. Please see her website for more details.
